GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Accountable for generating projected revenues, profitable market share and delivering a high level of customer satisfaction through the leadership, management and direction of a diverse, multi-location sales team.  Provides leadership of complex projects related to delivering customer solutions with accountability for project planning, implementation, administration, customer training and overall achievement of intended results.   Responsible for providing expertise and support in the development and implementation of new technologies. Accountable to develop alliances, partnerships and business relationships Regionally, Nationally and Globally to maximize market share and revenues in a highly competitive environment.

 

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Accountable for generation and retention of expected revenues amidst aggressive competition in the business market and for the identification and actioning of new market opportunities related to existing and future business market products and services.
2. Accountable for developing and directing aggressive sales and customer strategies for Regional, National and Global customers in a highly competitive market.  Partner with internal departments, vendors, suppliers and Telco’s as required ensuring customer end to end solutions are delivered in a co-ordinated manner, Regionally, Nationally, and Globally.
3. Create strategic relationships with key industry/market segments such as:  Aboriginal, Oil & Gas, Mining, Credit Unions, Governments, Health, Education, National and Global accounts.
4. Develop a highly skilled, competitive, professional sales team accountable for maintaining levels of technical and sales certification as required by our vendors/partners to ensure SaskTel’s purchasing power is maintained with them and the value of our Sales resources is evident to our customer through the depth and breadth of knowledge and experience demonstrated in their customer engagements.
5. Leads, directs and manages staff to ensure the effective use of HR resources. Maximizes performance by selecting (hire external or promote from within), developing, mentoring and sustaining a high level of expertise among staff. Organize and direct work including prioritizing assignments, establishing objectives, providing regular performance feedback, conducting year end performance appraisals and taking necessary corrective action as may be required. Assists in staff career planning, establishes development and succession plans and ensures relevant HR procedures and policies are followed (provisions of the collective agreement, performance appraisals, discipline, grievance, etc). Administers, promotes and encourages the Health and Safety of employees.
6. Accountable for having a working knowledge of current and emerging technology as it pertains to the rapidly evolving communications industry and ensure our staff are positioned and trained to succeed.
7. Responsible for maximizing overall market share and profitability from the business customer base.
8. Maximize SaskTel's market share by representing SaskTel within the Community in all aspects of Public Relations and Customer Service Including development of professional business relationships and maintaining a high level of community involvement.
9. Ensure that SaskTel brand standards are met, that high quality account plans are developed, that adequate funding and resources are applied to deliver commitments and that leading edge account management culture is instilled within the area of responsibility.
10. Maximize financial contribution to SaskTel through Revenue growth and cost control. Develop and manage sales plans, business plans, sales forecasts, manpower, operating and capital budgets. Coordinate specific objectives of the Plans with all functional departments of the company. Provide relevant input into the structure and implementation of the Sales Compensation plan.
11. Accountable for working with SaskTel's Collections Team to effectively manage SaskTel’s accounts receivables in the business market.
12. Accountable to minimize and mitigate exposure and impact to business critical processes through the effective implementation of Business Continuity Plans and in accordance with responsibilities outlined in the Corporate BCM Policy, the Emergency Operations Procedures and the emergency Alert Procedures.

 

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Business Administration/Commerce degree.  Equivalent combination of education & experience will be considered.
2. A thorough knowledge of and considerable experience in marketing and sales practices, procedures and techniques are required.
3. Must practice and display a high level of commitment to the support and development of employees.

Driving valuable customer experiences and employee engagement, improving sustainability, and demonstrates commitment to the communities that we serve. 

 

This is an on-site position located at the location(s) above. The successful candidate must be located within the province of Saskatchewan. Out of province/country candidates must be willing to relocate. Flexible work opportunities, in province, may be available.
