POSITION OVERVIEW 
As part of the management team within SaskTel Business Solutions Marketing, this position is accountable for business product management, take-to-market direction, sales support, roadmap and portfolio management, service development, and partner and channel management. This role leads a team of professionals dedicated to translating the corporate vision into industry leading services.

 

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.Accountable for product portfolio performance, which includes revenue, subscribers, profitability, expense management, inventory management, budgeting and forecasting.
2.Responsible to define and communicate overall value proposition of business services including the identification of target market, competitive advantage and success metrics of the portfolio, marketing information, branding and customer satisfaction.
3.Develops product and pricing information and training for sales and operations teams so that they can successfully communicate the value proposition, adhering to the SaskTel Brand Promise, and sell the cost benefit, including features and benefits, competitive comparisons, andROI logic/calculations for the customer.
4.Accountable for the long-term health and regeneration of product portfolios through new product/service development and product enhancements.
5.Ensures the application of Launch Management best practices for the development and introduction of new products and services while minimizing and mitigating exposure and impact to the business.
6.Negotiates, establishes and maximizes third party relationships that deliver advantageous results and protect SaskTel’s best interests.
7.Ensures that SaskTel products and pricing are positioned competitively through proactive monitoring and research of the marketplace and competitors.  Spearheads timely tactics to counter competitive threats.
8.Defines the ideal customer experience that drives highest customer satisfaction and streamlines workflow and processes to improve the customer experience.
9.Ensures products adhere to applicable policies, practices, regulations, and privacy requirements while aligning with current industry trends, technology changes and market conditions.
10.Accountable for business case development (strategic, financial, operational, customer implications, partnership and new growth objectives) of opportunities on a case-by-case basis.
11.Provides leadership, direction and coaching to inspire, motivate and enable a positive and productive work environment for direct reports and cross-functional teams.
12.Responsible for generating market awareness of SaskTel’s business product and service capabilities through such activities as customer events, customer information sessions, direct customer interaction etc.
13.Assists Business Sales in analyzing customer needs and deliver business solutions that solve identified business problems.

 

QUALIFICATIONS
1.    Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration/Commerce or equivalent). A combination of related business experience and education will be considered.
2.    Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated leadership in marketing, sales, and portfolio management.
3.    Must display strong planning and analytical skills, customer focus, results orientation.
4.    Demonstrated ability to supervise, lead, coach, inspire and motivate multiple direct reports.
5.    Ability to lead cross functional teams in the integration of activities across the organization.
6.    Possesses a high energy level and willingness to work irregular hours in an unpredictable, demanding work environment
7.    Ability to integrate marketing, technical and operational considerations while managing projects of high strategic impact and working across divisional boundaries.
8.    Demonstrated ability to manage change within a diverse and rapidly changing environment.
9.    Demonstrated experience in creative thinking and innovation, influencing and relationship building.
10.  Demonstrated ability to interpret and effectively communicate technological concepts directly to clients at various organizational levels using both written and verbal methods.

  • Accountable for proactively identifying, inspiring, and acting on opportunities to innovate and drive process improvements, develop growth initiatives, and improve revenue and/or reduce costs. Driving valuable customer experiences and employee engagement, improving sustainability, and demonstrates commitment to the communities that we serve. 

 

This is an on-site position located at the location(s) above. The successful candidate must be located within the province of Saskatchewan. Out of province/country candidates must be willing to relocate. Flexible work opportunities, in province, may be available.
