POSITION OVERVIEW

Co-ordinates divisional projects, financial information and human resource budgets. Assembles, verifies, compiles, analyses, submits and enters data into SAP. Inputs project management details on SAP. Develops, prepares and distributes key indicators. Researches, develops and implements processes for data tracking and analysis for projects, operating and human resource budgets to be used for management decision making. Provides ongoing support 
to maintain business processes and procedures. Accountable for human resource staffing co-ordination between the Human Resource department and the divisions.

 

TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

(Not all inclusive or applicable to all assignments)

  1. Assembles, verifies, compiles analyses and submits projects, operating and staffing budgets for inclusion into the Corporate Budget.
  2. Investigates and analyzes variances for projects, operating expense, revenue and staffing budgets compared to actual results. Provides written variance explanations and provides alternatives for changes to management.
  3. Researches, prepares and packages key indicators for management on an ongoing basis. This ranges from detailed to high level accumulation and reporting.
  4. Monitors, tracks and reports staffing movement. Also monitors staffing statistics to ensure validity of information.
  5. Researches, develops and conducts special study as requested by management, Finance or Human Resource departments.
  6. Analyzes, investigates, and revises/corrects information and processes pertaining to various SAP modules.
  7. Responsible for day-to-day planning, requisitioning, tracking and budget distribution of projects on SAP.
  8. Performs business (change management) and system (SAP) analysis to meet internal client requirements. Assists clients in business process and system use by formal/informal training, advisory and consulting service and on-going support. Liaisons with SAP Central Support.
  9. Interacts with external customers and vendors as required.
  10. Provides first line of support for SAP within the division.
  11. Develops and delivers presentations to management, peers and clients.
  12. Recommends changes to established corporate processes, procedures and policies.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Business Admin with at least 2 degree accounting classes or 4 certificate accounting classes OR two years experience with financial processes supplemented with 1 degree accounting class or 2 certificate accounting classes.
  2. Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with others.
  3. Working knowledge of personal computers and various software applications.
  4. Working knowledge of the following SAP modules as specified in the posting:
    a) Material Management
    b) Accounts Payable
    c) Projects
    d) Time Reporting
    e) Investment Management
    f) Plant Maintenance
    g) Controlling
    h) Human Resources
  5. Research, analytical, and decision making skills.
  6. Working knowledge of the System of Accounts.
  7. Presentation skills.
  8. Ability to train and instruct others.
  9. Keyboarding skills 20 WPM.
