GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Contributes to the overall success of SaskTel by enhancing customer satisfaction through sales and service interactions in the corporate retail stores provincially.  Provides direct support and business consultation to enable the retail channel to deliver on revenue targets, reducing operating costs, maximizing store profitability, and delivering a high level of customer service. Accountable for confidential support for Consumer Sales’ Director teams. Accountable for leadership and development of clerical staff and management/ participation in research, analysis, and special projects.

 

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Accountable for ensuring customer satisfaction and a positive SaskTel image through interaction with the management team, liaison with other Sales Channels, direct customer contact, internal and external coordination of activities, handling customer concerns/escalation and meeting customer service expectations.
2. Accountable for maximizing the sales promotion and profits of the Retail Store through cost efficient operation and human resource management.
3. Partners with SaskTel Marketing, Business Sales, External Channel Management, Customer Relationship Centre, and other groups to increase profitability and effectiveness of SaskTel in the face to face retail selling and services of its products and services.
4. Manages and coordinates departmental projects as required. Interacts with internal departments and directs external contractors while continuing to meet day-to-day operational requirements. [ie. Building project planning and development (office moves/rearrangements, furniture requirements), Requests for Communication Services, Software/Hardware requirements, etc.].
5. Manages and coordinates the logistics pertaining to corporate and external customers.  (ie. Meetings, demonstrations, tradeshow, training sessions)
6. Works within and cultivates an environment that supports innovation, teamwork, and business leadership.  Provides leadership and direction to the clerical team by creating a positive work environment capable of meeting current and future needs; and ensuring optimal individual and team performance through informal and formal training, mutual problem solving, specific goal setting, feedback and recognition by following the performance management process.
7. Provides direct business support and ongoing consultation services to Retail Stores to help achieve excellence in customer service, productivity, and sales/revenue objectives.  This includes planning and managing projects designed for the on-going development of the Retail sales channel and the effectiveness of the sales team.
8. Participates in the development of Retail channel management strategies and initiatives. Accountable for the implementation of the initiatives relating to the corporate retail channels.  Provides input into the strategic, business and marketing plans.  Leads the development of the Retail store business plan.
9. Accountable for influencing/controlling costs to ensure the overall effectiveness of the portfolio.  Works closely with Marketing.
10. Provides customer feedback to Marketing on existing products. Reviews new products and services for accessibility.
11. Assists the director team in setting priorities, actioning or delegating inquires where appropriate, determining and maintaining schedules, and attaining sufficient knowledge of current projects and activities within SaskTel.
12. Expedites events for Human Resource Management, utilizing SAP, as required including position creation/maintenance, authorization to hire post, cost centre, and personnel updates.
13. Manages meeting logistics pertaining to Director and department management team (ie. weekly/monthly/quarterly meetings, business planning and objective setting, steering committee meetings). Responsible for the preparation of the agenda, agenda submissions, meeting facilitation, documentation, action item follow up, and meeting logistics.  Ensures that the preparation of correspondence, minutes, reports, Board and Executive presentations are done in a confidential, proficient and timely fashion.

 

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor Degree in Commerce/Business Administration OR an equivalent combination of education and sales or retail experience.
2. Must display broad conceptual skills and the ability to balance numerous activities while working with short deadlines.
3. Ability to multi-task combined with extensive knowledge and experience with personal computers. 
4. Thorough knowledge and considerable experience in marketing and sales practices, procedures and techniques are required.
5. Ability to pay close attention to detail.
7. Effective communications skills, both verbal and written.
8. Demonstrated ability to direct, lead, manage and train staff.

  • Accountable for proactively identifying, inspiring, and acting on opportunities to innovate and drive process improvements, develop growth initiatives, and improve revenue and/or reduce costs. Driving valuable customer experiences and employee engagement, improving sustainability, and demonstrates commitment to the communities that we serve.
