POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsible for the planning and design of user experiences for customer-facing digital platforms such as websites, mobile applications, and web applications.  Leads the experience of digital products with a user-centric approach and alignment to SaskTel’s vision.  Recommends strategic and tactical User Experience (UX) solutions and advocates the needs and goals of end users.

 

TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
(Not all inclusive or applicable to all assignments)

1. Drives online digital UX strategy and KPIs, ensuring alignment with company goals.

2. Participates in planning sessions and workshops with stakeholders to determine business and design requirements and prioritizes project and team work accordingly.

3. Organizes and facilitates user research, audit reports, user testing, user flow mapping, wireframes, interactive prototyping, and other UX initiatives when required.

4. Monitors and reports on market research and competitor trends to inform UX strategies.

5. Converts project and enhancement requests into detailed business requirements along with acceptance criteria and user stories. Ensures the application of best practices in UX documentation, while considering both design and technical constraints.

6. Coordinates and facilitates meetings for design reviews and backlog refinement, and delegates work as required.

7. Responsible for advancing technical knowledge in design methodologies, responsive/mobile-first design, UX/UI practices, design systems, accessibility design, agile frameworks and principles, web frameworks, front-end development languages and techniques.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Degree in Business Administration/Commerce or Computer Science or equivalent with 1 year of experience in a digital marketing or user experience role OR Diploma in Interactive Design or equivalent with 3 years of experience in a digital marketing or user experience role OR Level 30 English with 5 years of experience in a digital marketing or user experience role.

2. Certification in User Experience.    
3. Working knowledge of marketing principles.

4. Thorough knowledge of web production and digital marketing principles including human-centered design.    
5. Working knowledge of personal computers and various software applications.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with others.

7. Ability to lead, direct, and train others.

8. Good organization and planning skills.

9. Good research, analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

10. Working knowledge of project management principles and agile development processes.
