GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Accountable for the successful scoping, process creation, and implementation of corporate projects and initiatives into Operations. Accountable to lead research and analysis projects and initiatives and provide recommendations to Operations’ senior management team. Responsible to ensure service, construction, and network related changes align with Operations’ business plan and corporate strategic plan. Accountable to lead and participate in the creation and delivery of VP/Director information items, decision items, and presentations. Accountable for representing Operations on various internal, external, and special projects.

 

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Works with Operations Planners on various projects and initiatives.

2. Works directly with the Operations Business Support team to provide research, analysis, and support, to deliver to Operations Business Plan targets.
3. Collaborates with internal and external resources to ensure projects and initiatives are completed on schedule and on budget.
4. Leads or facilitates Operations personnel through training, mutual problem solving, specific goal setting, regular feedback, recognition of desired results.
5. Participates as an active member of the management team by contributing to the group decision making processes.
6. Ensures that assigned departmental activities are integrated with the Corporate Strategic Plan including identifying impacts on people change management. (PCM plan coordination)
7. Accountable for completion of special projects assigned by the VP and/or Director(s).  Enhances business decisions and actions by assisting other team members in special projects through the collection, investigation, analysis, and creation of business information and other assistance as required.
8. Responsible for providing accurate scoping for corporate or Operations projects and initiatives with respect to volumes, internal processes, resourcing, training, tools, communication, and change management requirements.  Supports business case development by determining the initial business solution requirements, options, and project costs.
9. Accountable to have the awareness of all data and associated tools in use or required for Operations to support analytical processes and decisions.
10.Creates meaningful data visualizations that communicate findings and demonstrate how the insights are meaningful to the business unit(s). Use compelling communication techniques to allow for storytelling with the data.
11.People Change Management: Influences change with strong communication, presentation, and people skills.
12.Continuous improvement: Performs research to create opportunities to transform our business.
13.Supports and collaborates with the planning, researching, analysing, designing and implementation of service changes and or implementation of new technologies and applications.

 

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Post-secondary education in Business Admin/Commerce/Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Experience with project management methodologies and principles.
3. Experience with Operation’s functions and activities within Network, Construction and Service is an asset.
4. Experience with change management foundations EG: Prosci ADKAR methodology.
5. Strong computer skills and experience with various software applications.
6. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives successfully within constraints of budget, timelines, and human resources.
7. Demonstrated ability to provide strong analytical business and technical leadership.
8. Experience collaborating with corporate internal and external partners, with knowledge of SaskTel corporate structure.
9. Excellent analytical, planning, organizing, and coordinating abilities.
10.Experience preparing and presenting information to all levels of management including senior leadership.
11.Ability to understand various data structures and common methods in data transformation.
12.Problem solving skills and an ability to creatively analyze business problems.
13.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to influence others, particularly when explaining complex methodologies and solutions.
