JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the fulfilment of orders for wireless devices and other retail products that come from the Contact Centre, sasktel.com, and other sources. Responsible for facilitating the repair of all customer devices that come through the SaskTel stores.

 

TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
(Not all inclusive or applicable to all assignments)

1. Fulfills orders for wireless devices and other retail products that come from the consumer sales queue, sasktel.com, and other sources. This includes, but is not exclusive to, doing all provisioning in applicable SaskTel systems, selling the item(s), speaking to the customer when necessary, packaging the order for shipment.
2. Facilitates the repair of all customer devices that come through the SaskTel Stores. Includes but is not exclusive to reviewing the repair form, trying to replicate the issue, determining if a repair is required, filling out appropriate repair documentation, shipping the item, dealing with the repair depot and the customer regarding repair estimates, and handling disputes.
3. Represents the corporation in all types of customer contacts, including determining customer's needs and requirements, recommending solutions, sale of products and/or services, and handling public inquiries. Fulfills business and residential needs. Completes internal work and procedures to ensure the customer's requirements are met or exceeded.
4. Develops and maintains a working knowledge of SaskTel's products, services, systems, and pricing options.
5. Advises customers on telecommunication solutions, as well as handles all customer inquiries/complaints and resolves disputes.
6. Prepares or arranges for completion of legal contracts, forms, and credit applications.  Assigns customer credit ratings.
7. Adjusts/corrects errors and/or omissions on customer accounts. Handles credit card payments.
8. Reconciles monies associated with daily sales and bill payments.
9. Prepares associated forms (i.e. service orders, etc.)  referred from other sales channels.  Activates services and/or features on real time basis.  Reviews service orders for accuracy.
10. Participates in sales campaigns and retention activities on an initiated and/or demand basis.  Deals with customers for the purpose of retail sales, product returns and repairs.
11. Maintains related reports and updates mechanized systems.
12. Assists other Sales and Service Teams with the delivery of products and services to their customer base.
13. Participates in cross-departmental design teams as requested.
14. Administers processes related to material/stock usage and returns, time reporting and order completion.

 

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Working knowledge of techniques needed to persuasively promote the sale of products and/or services, typically gained through 2 years of experience in sales/service.
2. Working knowledge of SaskTel systems used in daily job functions.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with others.
4. Working knowledge of SaskTel products and services.
5. Working knowledge of personal computers and various software applications.
6. Demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks.
7. Good problem solving, and decision-making skills.
8. Keyboarding skills 20 WPM.
9. Ability to plan and organize in a self-directed environment.
10. Ability to work under continual pressure and demonstrate the flexibility to work in a constantly changing environment.
11. Successful completion of prescribed training courses.
