JOB SUMMARY
Researches and plans processes and technology evolution within Customer Services.  Identifies resource impacts and knowledge requirements. Co-ordinates, manages, and supports projects and/or enhancements for full life-cycle of systems, products and services for internal and external clients. Provides analysis, develops processes, co-ordinates implementation and provides documentation, training/support for the client base. Acts as the SaskTel representative/liaison on various internal and external committees as required.

 

TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
(Not all inclusive or applicable to all assignments)

  1. Provides support concerning problems with the daily operation of mechanized systems.
  2. Interprets products and services policies and procedures for client group.
  3. Acts as liaison between business units of SaskTel Holdco and user groups. Researches, investigates and identifies opportunities and problems. Recommends direction and/or solutions to processes and systems.
  4. Plans, designs and schedules implementation and conversions of new or existing systems products and services.  Prepares related  documentation and reports.
  5. Researches, analyzes, develops, and identifies requirements for new/enhanced processes and/or technologies. Gathers requirements, prepares process flows, use cases and documentation material for new processes, systems, and products and services. Conducts required training on any new changes as a result of project deliverables.
  6. Initiates/participates in the design, development and implementation of new or revised manual and/or mechanized work processes and/or procedures.
  7. Analyzes and determines client business requirements. Develops alternatives and recommends solutions. Composes proposals and determines feasibility and cost effectiveness. Prepares, revises and presents reports for project approval.
  8. Develops, executes and assists in coordination of internal or external end to end test plans, verifying new/revised process results for product and service introduction.
  9. Represents SaskTel on National/Global forums regarding pertinent technologies and processes.
  10. Maintains a working knowledge of SaskTel’s products, services, systems, pricing options and the telecommunication industry issues as they relate to regulation, competition and technology.
  11. Maintains working knowledge of SaskTel project management evolution and tools.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Business Administration, or Computer Science combined with 3 years current experience in relevant business area (see qualification #2) OR Post secondary classes in Business Administration, or Computer Science combined with 4 years of current experience in relevant business area (see qualification #2) OR Level 30 Math or English combined with 5 years of current experience in relevant business area (see qualification #2).
  2. Thorough knowledge of processes, procedures, and/or systems in one or more of the following areas:
     a) Voice products & services
     b) Data products & services
     c) Wireless voice and data products & services.
     d) Installation, repair and maintenance of voice or data products & services.
     e) IP based services, Internet/e-business.
      f) MARTENS Suite and/or Optius/Odin
     g) Siebel and/or Salesforce
     h) Business Consulting, and/ or support role of CS Processes/Order Management/Service Delivery/Provisioning systems.
     I) Customer Support Centre.
     j) Business process development, implementation and support of corporate processes.
     k) Support role of Aurora & prepaid systems
     L) Customer Self-Service
  3. Working knowledge of Tariffs, Terms of Service and CRTC regulations.
  4. Good conceptual, research, analytical and problem solving skills.
  5. Working knowledge of project management procedures and processes.
  6. Good planning, organizing and coordinating skills.
  7. Good facilitation and presentation skills.
  8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with others.
  9. Working knowledge of personal computers and various software applications.
  10. Ability to direct and train others.
  11. Valid Driver’s License.
