Shipper/Receiver/Storekeeper

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for picking and packing orders from the Provincial  Warehouse stock. Restocks shelves daily. Fills all cable orders from inside or outside cable. Unloads and sorts material returned in Credit Area. Loads Salvage Dealers of old scrap  materials and surplus equipment .  Receives, sorts, delivers and send out mail and packages to and from all floors at 2121 Saskatchewan Drive daily. Sends out and receives telephone equipment through Priority Post and records transactions on FSD to up date customer records.  Replaces Senior Shipper/Receiver when required.  Performs related duties.


TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
(Not all inclusive or applicable to all assignments)
1. Fills reservations from stock and packs material for shipment. Fills cable orders (transfers material, assigns new reel #, cuts).  Fills orders for external customer cable orders. Fills Back orders and RSH's.
2. Completes goods issue for completed reservations and issues material to material transfers as required.
3. Loads and unloads outgoing and incoming supplies to and from delivery vehicles. Loads Salvage material.
4. Conducts stock counts on the instructions of the Stock Keeper and assists the Stock Keeper in resolving discrepancies in stock items, quantities and orders.
5.  Inspects lifts and conveyance equipment before use (daily) and reports unsafe/damaged conditions to Distribution Manager - Provincial Warehouse.
6. Unpacks and stocks new and refurbished material.
7.  Provides relief  in Flexible Delivery, credits, yard and  Mailroom at 2121 Sask. Dr.
8. Receives, sorts and delivers mail to the floors at Head Office.
9. Follows safe work practices and procedures. Takes reasonable care to protect personal health and safety and the health and safety of others in accordance with Occupational, Health and Safety.


QUALIFICATIONS
1. General knowledge of personal computers and various software applications.

2. Mathematical aptitude.
3. Must successfully complete material handling equipment and dangerous goods training in compliance with the Saskatchewan Safety Council and SaskTel accredited courses including WHMIS.
4. Ability to direct and train others.    
5. Good communications skills including both written and verbal skills.
6. Ability to plan and organize in a self-directed environment.
7. A valid driver license.
