SaskTel is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead our Business Sales & Solutions Advertising and Brand Communications team. In this role, you’ll build powerful partnerships with our Business Sales channels, design compelling advertisements that deliver measurable results, and implement strategic brand communications to position SaskTel as the leader in the Business market. GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
As part of the Marketing Management team within SaskTel, this position is accountable for:
* Achieving in-year revenue targets through effective investment in advertising, channel activities, customer messaging, and promotions.
* Managing the Marketing relationship with SaskTel's Business Sales channels; enabling effective communication between Marketing and BS&S, and providing information, strategic direction, and support to the channel.

 

 

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Helps achieve in-year access and revenue targets for business products, and ensures the success of the Marketing plan as it relates to the Business Market.  Develops and implements Take-To-Market strategies, growth campaigns, promotions and customer messaging.
2. Maintains awareness and understanding of market trends and competitors' products and prices.  Establishes Take-To-Market strategies and implements messaging to position SaskTel appropriately in the Business market.
3. Manages timing of marketing messages/initiatives to align with product roadmaps and identifies synergies for product campaigns and positioning.
4. Negotiates marketing Agreements with external parties, monitors performance of programs against business targets, and modifies budgets and/or programs when required.  Ensures timely and accurate payment of invoices and contract obligations.
5. Works with Advertising group to develop external customer communications.  Has final approval on overall message of all Business customer communications, and ensures development of appropriate customer collateral, channel information and customer lists for programs.
6. Acts as the liaison between Marketing and the BS&S Sales Channel to facilitate information, manage feedback, and direct issues/customer escalations to the appropriate Marketing personnel.  Provides direction regarding sales channel incentives and motivation.
7. Coordinates with the Consumer/Mass Market Take-to-Market team, Advertising team, and Marketing Operations teams.  Maximize efficiency and effectiveness of Marketing Initiatives.
8. Provides regular information to stakeholders regarding Business Marketing initiatives, plans, and activities.  Provides expertise and information to senior management that will impact business strategy.
9. Facilitates market understanding to be used in defining the ideal customer experience.  Enable Voice of Customer and Win/Loss interviews.

 

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor Degree in Business Administration/Commerce or equivalent marketing/commercial experience.
2. Prefer a minimum of 2 years demonstrated leadership in marketing and product management.  Must be familiar with business products, pricing and customer application of the products.
3. Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to apply marketing concepts and principles, principally regarding marketing strategy and planning, channel management and promotion.
4. Basic knowledge of technology concepts: VoIP, IP networking, fibre optics, Trunking, HSPA, CDMA, WiFi, Satellite.  Willingness and ability to learn.
5. Working knowledge of SaskTel and departmental interrelationships as they relate to Sales, Fulfillment and Assurance of business products listed above.
6. Excellent oral and written communication skills.  Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and customer facing front line staff.
7. Financial and Business Management skills, including budgeting, reporting, cost management, profitability management.
8. Demonstrated ability to supervise, lead, coach, inspire and motivate multiple direct reports.
9. Ability to lead cross functional teams in the integration of activities across the organization.
10. Possesses a high energy level and willingness to work irregular hours in an unpredictable, demanding work environment.
11. Active commitment and support, directly and indirectly, in the promotion of SaskTel's image inside and outside of SaskTel.
12. Proven ability to work in a stressful environment with constant change and minimal direction.
