POSITION OVERVIEW  
Accountable to contribute to the strategic direction for SaskTel’s Strategic Integrated Solutions to ensure long term profitability. Integrates emerging technologies into the development of new services that drive SaskTel sales and client strategies, business direction and new revenue streams. Ensures alignment of Business Sales & Solutions to industry trends and best practices, including maintaining expert knowledge of current and emerging technologies and actively informing and educating relevant departments and stakeholders as required. Supports sales teams to achieve revenue and customer experience targets through consultation on solution selection, pricing, integration, implementation, billing and support for SaskTel’s Data Centre, Cloud, Managed IT, Smart Services, Security, CPE Resale, Partner and Professional Services.

 

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.Researches, analyzes, and identifies project requirements for new/enhanced products, processes, systems, and/or technologies for SaskTel’s Data Centre, Cloud, Managed ICT, Security, CPE Resale, Partner  and Professional Services. Proactively generates ideas for improvements.
2.Accountable for managing relationships with vendors, consultants and solution partners. Proactively manages all vendor license requirements to ensure service continuity.
3.Responsible for the timely development and implementation of pricing and billing processes/ procedures, tools and systems in Business  Sales & Solutions. Interfaces with external vendors and partners, Information Systems, and Business Sales & Solutions stakeholders as required for the development, delivery, and support of these tools, processes and procedures.
4.Creates and fosters positive relationships with Business Stakeholders/Customers. Ensures that the delivery of SaskTel's Business Services aligns with the Customers/Stakeholders business objectives and the competitive landscape SaskTel competes in. Accountable for product and service training materials and documentation delivered through various communication methods (Business Knowledge Centre, BusComm, presentations, etc). Works closely with key stakeholders to ensure information needs are met.
5.Ensures products and services are strategically positioned in the local, regional, and national marketplace.  Ensures market leadership role for selected products/services/solutions through enhancements and/or development.
6.Composes proposals and works with internal and external sales channels.
7.Provides direction to customer services/sales channels and guidance to technical operations management for the effective implementation of market/portfolio strategies to meet customer needs.
8.Guides the development of products, services, tools systems and processes required for effective implementation of portfolio enhancements.
9.Provides input into service development activities for new SaskTel Strategic Integrated Solutions.
10.Contributes to other organizational Business Sales initiatives as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS
1.University Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or Engineering OR Technical Institute Diploma in Computer Engineering Technology or Computer Information Systems OR equivalent education and/or experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant marketing/sales/ consulting experience in ICT.
2.General knowledge of marketing and sales principles and techniques, and the ability to apply such principles.
3.Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors and internally at all levels up to and including corporate executive.
4.Experience with ICT industry technologies, tools, processes, applications, and the best-in-class standards surrounding them.
5.Strong research and analytical skills. Ability to synthesize data and identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
6.Demonstrated ability to manage within a diverse and rapidly changing environment.
7.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to influence others.
8.Project management experience and formal training would be an asset.

This is an on-site position located at the location(s) above. The successful candidate must be located within the province of Saskatchewan. Out of province/country candidates must be willing to relocate. Flexible work opportunities, in province, may be available.
