The Opportunity

We are looking for an innovative individual to engage with Indigenous communities to create social and economic benefits for the province. This position will be on our Indigenous Business Development team reporting to the Director of Indigenous Business Development. This role will work to improve the communities and businesses of our Indigenous customers. We’ve created the most connected province in Canada to First Nations communities, and continually upgrade our network to meet the community needs. This position will also be accountable to develop and manage strong, long term professional business relationships within a specific account base. The successfull candidate will get the opportunity to work with SaskTel’s Sales teams and external partners to engage customers in a highly competitive environment. Lastly, these positions will also be responsible for generating new revenue from integrated communication services and solutions while maintaining and protecting existing revenues.

 

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Prime accountability for sales and revenue for a specific account base.
  • Establishes credibility with customer's executive and key influencers through the assessment, recommendation, and design of customized applications.
  • Develops and employs appropriate competitive strategies, and continually modifies strategies to meet changing circumstances.
  • Negotiates and executes customer contracts and ensures customer satisfaction is met or exceeded.
  • Facilitates and participates in joint strategic planning with customers to share short- and long-term goals and direction.
  • When appropriate, briefs and involves SaskTel Executive in the account.
  • Accountable for personal development in all aspects of the Account Executive job to ensure personal skills are adequate to meet the demands of a highly competitive marketplace.
  • Marshals Corporate resources to support account plans.

 

The Successful Candidate Will Possess:

  • Degree in Administration/Commerce/Marketing OR Certificate in Administration/ Commerce OR equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of convergence and IP based services.
  • Demonstrated ability in sales closure and ability to work in a highly competitive industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of competitive communication industry issues and technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to influence and persuade others.
  • Excellent ability to plan and organize in a self-directed environment.
  • Excellent decision-making ability.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
