JOB SUMMARY
Provincially responsible for providing accurate assignment, programming, and support of services on SaskTel s network. Analyzes, monitors, corrects, verifies, and processes service orders and assurance requests. Investigates, and resolves all Service Order and Repair issues relating to the availability of switch line, DSL, Fibre equipment, and facilities. Addresses escalations and discrepancies as identified by other departments. Manually programs within digital switches. Reserves, assigns, and provisions 800, 900, 7-digit dialing services in the SMS database.


TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
(Not all inclusive or applicable to all assignments)
1. Provincially responsible to perform all assignment, programming andsupport duties for fulfillment and assurance of customer s services on SaskTel's network.
2. Interprets service orders, USSOs, USOCS codes and programs digitalswitches and system software to create, modify or remove services.
3. Provides customer service support for assurance and implementationactivities.
4. Operates test equipment and performs acceptance testing, fault analysis and location on a variety of voice and data circuits.
5. Manages switch programming and frame work required for cutover projects for all customers to ensure that requested due dates are met.
6. Verifies accuracy of service orders, specifically option compatibility, directory number and office equipment. Resolves discrepancies and omissions by accessing switching system software, and associated applications and databases. Initiates corrective action with Assignment, Sales and Install and Repair.
7. Analyzes, identifies, and implements changes and updates to controlled systems and other mainframe database systems.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Degree OR Technical Institute Diploma/Certificate in Computer Science/Systems, Networking, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Diploma/Certificate in Business Administration/Commerce (supplemented by 2 courses in Computer Science), with 1 year experience in customer support, sales, and/or network, install and repair role OR Level 30 Math with 2 years experience in customer support, sales, and/or network, install and repair role.
2. Working knowledge of system integration used for fulfillment and assurance.
3. Working knowledge of network systems, equipment and voice/data products and services.
4. Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with others.
5. Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem solving and organizational skills.
6. Demonstrated ability to multi-task, plan, organize and prioritize multiple demands.
7. General knowledge of Access Network maps, symbols, and design procedures.
8. Keyboarding skills 20 wpm
